With the holidays behind us and more than a week into the New Year, time just flew by but it’s never too late to wish you a Happy and Successful New Year!

If you’re like most people, you’ve probably created your New Year’s resolutions, or better yet, some business goals. For those of you who craft and (want to) sell their products online, this month’s featured woman entrepreneur may be an inspiration for your success as she is for many other women.

The world of Etsy shops

Everywhere you look, you see someone owning an Etsy shop to sell their handmade items. It’s a great market place when you don’t want to invest in setting up your own online shop. There are many pros and cons to Etsy, but that’s not what this post is about. I wanted to highlight another woman entrepreneur who made it big and hopefully inspire you to keep going for your own dream business.

The Woman

After failing on Etsy with two shops, Morgan Nield found a way to turn her Etsy ventures around. She started to sell on Etsy in 2011 because she was bored (her husband was in graduate school). With some (basic) graphic design skills, she decided to sell customized stationary and later wedding guest posters. She wasn’t making much money, but tried again a few years later and became wildly successful. After 20,000 sales it was apparent that Morgan was doing something right.

The Motivation

She got a lot of publicity and was approached by other Etsy shop owners who felt frustrated by success that seemed elusive. That’s when Morgan decided to help Etsy side-hustlers to turn the tables and become profitable too.

The Opportunities

From failing Etsy shop owner to a highly successful Etsy entrepreneur, Morgan found the key for success. One that she shares on her blog, training and coaching programs with people who also want to sell their crafts on Etsy. If you’re looking for motivation and strategic direction to reach your own goals, Morgan is your man, uh woman!

The Purpose

Failures are just lessons, so after some extensive marketing research and training she tried again and, boom…!  Within a year Morgan made six figures! Now she is helping other Etsy entrepreneurs grow their business as efficiently as possible.

The Present

In March of 2016 she hit an all-time high in monthly revenues, building a six figure business in one year. Three years after using her step-by-step marketing system, Morgan has grown her Etsy shop to over 1,500,000 views, 21,000 sales, and a high repeat customer rate.Impressive!

The Quote

Being a solopreneur doesn’t mean you have to do it solo.

The Source

So often you hear people say, it’s just not possible to make that much money on the internet, selling crafts, etc. But the more I hear stories like this one, the more convinced I am that, YES is must be possible to make it online.

When you have great resources and people who can show you the ropes, you’re halfway there. Don’t let anyone tell you it’s not possible, they’re not you, so go do you. Go for your dreams!

How do you like Morgan’s story? It’s definitely and inspiration for having a successful Etsy business, if that’s your thing. Read more about her at www.morgannield.com.
