A place to learn

One of the goals of Grit Webstudio is to offer a place on the internet where female small business owners can learn more about websites and WordPress, in easy to understand language. If you want to learn how to make your site look and function the way you want it to be, without the fear of “breaking” it, we can teach you how.

Education

With easy to follow tutorials anyone can learn something quickly. That is how we want women entrepeneurs like you to get over any WordPress barriers with minimal technical knowledge. If you are starting a business or already have one and need a quick change on your website, we’ll teach you.

You can learn how to manage your own site, yes you can!

Everyone knows it’s better to teach a man (or woman) ) how to fish, than just feed him (her), and that is exactly how we look at education. When you know how something works, everything seems so much easier. Even if you have no desire to manage your own site, understanding the basics will give you an idea of what a webmaster will be doing under the “hood” of your website.

Our material

People learn in different ways and that is why we have study material in a variety of formats. From slideshows and video lessons, to blog posts, eBooks and PDF downloads (some people still like printouts), there is something for everyone.

We believe it is best to learn WordPress with visual aids, making it easier to follow the instructions and execute the steps on your own. For this reason we have organized our courses in Modules by topic, broken down in short video lessons you can view independently at anytime. This format is much better preferred over a video lesson that lasts an hour or longer. Most people can only retain information in 15-20 minute blocks.
